Hello all, I haven't been on here in a while, I have been busy with school work and being a chinchilla slave. For those many who will not know me my name is Rachel and I have two gorgeous chinchillas called Bubbles and Biscuits.
I was recently thinking of getting a new cage from John Hopewell as I have more room now they have been moved to the living room. I was thinking of 48" wide, 36" tall and 20" deep. Would this be too big for the chinchillas (if there is such a thing) and does it sound good for them?

Sounds great to me with a hammock or shelves to break the height they should have great fun. Hopefully being that size it has more than one door? I only ask because one of my cages is 20" deep (with just the one door) and I really struggle reaching some of the shelf corners.

This is a good size cage for your chins.
One of my JHcages is 48x48x24 Quad cage and is massive (it's on his site just I'm rubbish at attaching links). It'split into 2 halves as boys had a bust up. It comes with 2 doors each side on the front and side doors each side too for the very reason that you can't reach the back easily. Suggest you give John a call or email first and you can decide what's best. Would suggest you get a stand at the sametime as it's heavy for moving about.
