well i thought i might just share this with you. saturday night both me & my partner checked on the chins before we went to bed, all was well & all secure, or so i thought lol well i woke up around 7am on sunday & went in to see my chins, carl & lenny was both in there part of the cage, but could ifind casper my beige chin nope lol, so you can imagine i got abit worried as they are kept in my office all secure ie doors & windows closed, so i decided right coffee time then a good search for him, so 3 mins later back i go in the room & as bold as brass sitting there on my office chair, with that innocent look as if to say what i done nothing lol.
so anyway he was not hurt after his adventure & no damged cables as mine are all covered thank goodness, will just be glad when friday arrives with new JH double cage, then can get rid of this horrid cage lol, ps sorry for the long post people

They really are little Houdini's, I now have clips on all my doors I trust them not (even John Hopewell's doors)!


I have a weaning cage with a slot for a bowl which clips on. I'd used it for quarantine for little Dill 400g and taken the bowl off for cleaning leaving him in there several times. Once Dill was paired up with Daisy I had the empty cage on the floor minus bowl and suddenly realised Lucky (800g plus) was in the cage, she had me stumped until she squeezed out through the slot for the bowl. If I hadn't seen it for myself I wouldn't have thought it possible, thank goodness Dill never thought of it

We had to start padlocking the cage doors after Wilbur went through a phase of opening his cage door, trotting over to Chilli and Mango's cage, opening their door, and then cuddling up with them in their hammock. I came in several mornings in a row to find Wilbur fast asleep on the shelf with Chilli and Mango grooming his ears

Oh they are so funny Such little bundles of mischief, how boring life would be without them
