I've been oven-drying tiny apple pieces for my chins now for a while (quite by accident blush2.gif I found they enjoy them even more if they're burned!)

Tried the same with banana today - one ruined baking sheet later it doesn't appear to work so well........ rolling.gif Ah well, guess it's back to Holland & Barratts for dried banana now...

do you get the sun dried bananas from the health shop? - mine go dotty for it - it look vulgar all packed together and brown but chopped into 'raisin' sizes pieces they are great for a change from raisins smile.gif
i can never find dried bananas chips without sugar or honey dipped - they would be great but there out there somewhere!

The best way to dried bananas is to get a machine that does it- like what you make beef jerky with smile.gif But do I have one... no... I'm fourtunate enough to have a health food store that carries just plain dried without any additives.

Linda Holland & Barrat do both types - honey coated and plain, organic unaltered (I had to ask the assistant as I couldn't find the unsweetened ones, they're not in the same place) The unsweetened look (and taste!) a bit odd but the chins seem to like them as much as the sweetened variety smile.gif They're a WEE bit more pricey though..

Having said that, nowt's as cheap as free 2wink.gif (hence my experiment with the bananas the kids wouldn't eat!)
