> Food and Nutrition Guidelines

Please Read
Hopefully we all have one thing in common - the welfare of our chins and our desire to share stories of our pets with each other. An important part of this is sharing our diet concerns and experiences.

Our first port of call if worried should always be the vets. We should try to remember the difference between our own experiences (which in themselves can vary in different situations) and information we have picked up along the way. Where possible would you please make clear where any details you mention came from, have you been through this or have you read it somewhere? If from a website/message board please provide a link where possible (or link and quote) , so that other members may make a better judgement for themselves as to the validity of the details.

We ask that you do not try to impose your views on others, just let's be here to share, comfort and help where we can.

I am down to my last tin and my normal supplier www.Americansweets.co.uk are currently out of stock. They can't give me a date either.

Does anyone know where else I could get any from?

Jane will use it for hand feeding the sick chins in her rescue. A full pumpkin would go bad before she used it all, not to mention the time to prepare etc.

Mum to Molly - standard gray, Chillie - homo beige, Fidget (was Mia until she turned into a boy (Molly's baby)) - standard gray, Shammie - standard gray, Faith - medium ebony, Lottie - silver mosaic, Blue - saphire, Elmo - standard gray and Bella - standard gray.
I LOVE CHINS!

Give a forever home to a rescue!

RIP Harry & Ellie, much loved and sadly missed. You take a piece of my heart with you.

Have now ran out of the pumpkin I managed to get off Ebay

Tried the butternut squash - but the chins seemed to think I was trying to poison them!

Managed to get some fresh pumpkin, so spent time preparing it for the chins, only for them to turn their noses up at it.

I now have a few sulky chins wanting to know where their pumpkin is!

Thanks Sarah - did you buy yours from the States?

From a small Deli somewhere in London. Can't be much more help because I wasn't the one that tracked them down, and afraid the majority aren't for Chinnies but for huge fundraising bake marathon I've been volunteered for at the end of this month. I did ask if I could nab a few cans if there were any left over, and as I'm in charge I can make sure there will be smile.gif

I'll ask Pops if he can keep an eye out for them then and maybe he could pumpkin nap the container and divert it to your house thought.gif

Hi,

You probably may know this anyway, but thought I'd mention it ...

I don't know if they still do it, but when I worked in Sainsbury's a few years ago, they used to stock Libby's tinned pumkin, especially at this time of year. It was kept with tinned fruit and fruit pie fillings. They may be able to order cases in for you too.

Jane we've just had a load in at work, should be on the shelf by tomorrow and here at home with me right after. Are you still desperate? If so I'll post you some, otherwise I'll bring it to the show on Sunday, if you pop in you can collect it, otherwise I'll get my chauffer ( Debbie) to pop us over to you at some point that day.

Diane, your a star

We have a Waitrose in Rushden - will try and find time to pop over and see if they have any in

Don't think we are going to the show - too much happening here at the moment - but you are very welcome to pop over if you have the time
